Off-set Stirrups help!!!

Silly question!

I have some Stubben off-set stirrups and I've always used them with the rounded part of the stirrup next to the horse, and the straight part on the outside (when I have my feet in the stirrups that is!).

Anyway - my instructor questioned whether I had them the right way round. I have been using them this way for years and years!

What does anyone else do???

i dont use them i have flexi stirrups but lots of people i know have them
they are the wrong way round the off set bit is supposed to be on the out side so if you fall off your foot doesnt get caught

If so I think you would have the longer, rounder side on the outside and the shorter, straighter side closer to the horse?

I don't actually use them but looking at them that is how I would wear them. I may be totally wrong though!!

Thanks for your replies! I think that you're probably right and I've had them the wrong way round for the last 10 years!!! They feel really strange the right way round but I guess I'll just have to get used to them! I feel a right numpty though!!!
