I worked out there last summer for a few weeks, I loved it. You should def' go to Brown Thomas, its Dublins vesion of Harvey Nichols. There are some great bars and clubs, my fav was one owned by colin farrell (soz cant for the life of me remember its name) it has a very good happy hour!!! Shopping there is fab. I was working out of town up in the mountains, which are truly stunning. Great people, great place, you'll have agreat time wether you are out there for business or pleasure!!

I go all the time (on business though so cannot help) although if you're looking for somewhere great for dinner there is a gorgeous bistro on the same road as the Four Seasons.

oh seriously- i love that place too! Do u nip in all the time for ur lunch?? we also had a fab meal last yr in the thai resturant across the road too!

i wud love to work in dublin- especialy that area! so handy for horse show- wud love an office in one of the new builds in simmonscourt tho! Mind u i think that is going to be the downfall of the RDS- by the looks of the plans they r going to get rid of the long bar!!!!

my office is directly opposite the RDS, it is good for the Horse Show, but last year I had to buy a new lunge whip, and of course my car is parked in the company car park, needless to say the slagging was unmerciful when I walked into the office with a 5 foot whip!!!!

Its a good area to work.

I went to uni in dublin and worked in the rds (2005) for the horse show. A lof of fun and partying that week.

Ok, there is a good nightclub called Renards (gets a bit crowded on a Saturday night), the Stags head is good for a few drinks as is Messers Maguires. Stay away from Templebar, as you will find few very locals there, just a lot of hen and stag parties (not good).

For Shopping Brown Thomas is a definite (+ someone elses credit card) there are some nice shops on grafton street and wicklow street (just along the side of brown thomas).

Have a good weeked and yes Roly's Bistro is beautiful.

Ireland is one of my fave places in the whole world. Have been to Dublin twice now last time was last August.
We went to the Irish National Stud for a day trip which was great.Catch the train from Dublin station to Kildare and I think they run a complimentary mini bus to the stud. We also wentt to the curragh for a day at the races....again only a couple of miles out of Kildare.
We found O'Neills did a cracking carvery for quite cheap food.(just round the corner from the tourist info place).
We also bought one of the tickets for the open top buses(bit cold maybe just now) but they were great for getiting round the city. We went to Kilmainham Gaol which was really interesting if you are into that sort of thing but the Zoo was also the next stop on. And of course the Guiness factory..........

I worked during the horse show (2006) *shudders*, I was selling admittance tickets so had to deal with lots and lots of angry people..

What job were you hati?, I wouldn`t mind doing it again if I was a program seller or selling tickets to the grand stand.

I worked in the Events office, dealing with the exhibitors, judges and stewards. Lots of angry exhibitors at times. I was there from June till September, it was hard at times but good fun as I was working with my best friend in the office.

my trainer also teaches one of the chief executives of the show and he was lookin for people to work at the show in 2004, started by doing a research job in 2004 and then moved into the office in 2005. Was away travelling last year and will probably end up doing it this summer.
