Bloody horses. You'd think I'd maybe had my fair share of problems with them but no, clearly not, because after a week on box rest, a course of penicillin and 2 vet examinations checking for puss in the foot etc, my horse now has to go to Western Counties Equine Clinic where they can do all the tests at once.

He has possible arthritis in his nearside fetlock. He's EIGHT! Grrrr. Have sorted the insurance, got a claim form coming through, almost definitely won't be taking him on holiday, and by the time he is sound enough to ride again, I will probably look like such a roly poly *I* won't be bleddy able to!

FFS! Poor boy

sorry to here, my friends 7 year old has just been diagnosed with artritcit boney changes in both his back legs, such a shame.
(((((((((((good luck vibes)))))))))))))

Thanks all.

Well he's there and settled, although I could hear him calling to us all the way down into Culmstock!! We should be getting him back tomorrow night with any luck. He'll have a lameness work-up, then if necessary he will have nerve blocks, then ultrasound and xrays.

I hope he's going to be OK.
