as some may know we lost one of our jack russels a few weeks ago, we still have one but do not think its wise to let him be alone for two long as we think he could become very protective.

My parents want another jack russell and my brother and i would like a lab, they went to see some jacks yesterday and we are going to see what the labs are like as well. So excited, have considered having one of each so that they can be trained/walked together so do not know if that is a good idea or not!!

We got a puppy a couple of months ago and everything I read said not to get 2 puppies at once - although this may be just from the same litter.

Apparently they will learn to rely on each other more than you and so it is much harder for you to become pack leader and keep their respect.

Someone with more knowledge than me may say otherwise???

Enjoy puppy browsing though... although you'd have a lot more willpower than me to be able to walk away without one!

thanks, i mean getting two together is probably very unlikely!! I think now is the best time to get one both for the other dogs sake and the fact that we will be spending more time outside with the nights lighter etc.

Just very torn between the two breeds !!
