Hi everyone. I decided to make an account on here as saw something that really shocked me from a local dealer. Described a horse for sale as "RDA cr*pple proof" I tried reporting the ad on facebook but it reviewed and said it was fine. Is there anything else I can do about this? As I found this language quite upsetting

I agree that the language is upsetting, but not sure that reproducing the advert on here helps matters?

Once you have contacted the advertiser, and complained to Facebook, I would think that the next thing to do would be to not look at it. Reproducing it here just compounds the issue and means it can now upset a whole load more people.

I don't think it was aimed at one person in particular, so I don't think you would prove it to be harassment.

Is there a way I can delete the ad J posted? I didn't think of that.

Another vagary of the English language It is highly offensive used in those terms but is often used in assessment of pain with a d on the end. However it should never be used to describe a human being unless with the d on it and then only rarely

i know someone who has put this in an advert as they are riding the cob which is for sale themselves after a horrific fall (off something else), and injury, operations etc so jockey is definitely unsound, so the cob tried and tested for the job, although not the best word to describe yourself, I agree.

I reported this too and it was rejected, she then set her bullying friends on someone who stood up to her.

I think it’s important to stand up to this, however she clearly does not care, also claimed to be autistic as if that defended it.

It was extremely offensive and I am sick of this sort of thing being swept under the carpet. I think the dealer should be named but I am not going to in case it’s against rules here.
My friend shared it to me who was extremely upset as has a daughter who rides with RDA in Surrey.

It's a dealer as well? I think they should be named and shamed.

She was told it was offensive and her use of the RDA in the context of the word is disgusting. She proudly left the advert up. She also claimed she is ‘certified autistic’.

If this is the same dealer in Surrey that I am thinking of? NT

If it is that dealer, then she needs her bottom smacked. Not a dealer I'd recommend anyway.
