Seeking pet deerhound-ish bitch. Must be child, sheep and chicken friendly, tollerant of old patterdale X boxer dog, have (the potential for) good recall and enjoy giving leg leans when having ears rubbed.

In return: share of 3 acre field with own bunnies and interesting sniffs (including sheep poo to roll in), large woodstove, sofa, lots of fuss and extended family pack of misfits and fellow zoomers.

Located near Hexham in Northumberland.

Thanks all, I spotted the Deehound needing a home message- we've been in touch and unfortunately he'd eat all our chickens so still looking.
Keeping an eye on all the rescues, going to visit to our localish ones this week.

No - they're pics of old dogs: Midgey (the grey) and Zeke (the blonde) MIdgey died in 2008 and Zeke's my Mum and Dad's dog...

Good luck ClanConch. Having just (2 days ago) found our own "dream" rough coated lurcher via a rescue, all I can say is I hope that you can find the right one too - and sooner rather than later of course! Sounds like a lovely home!
