not suitable for human consumption (bit tough round the edges) 15.3 irish tb, plent of meat with nice big bones for chewing on!!! would be ideal in waitrose product as generally quite 'classy' and sure to have plent of flavour! although tesco value may go further.........

the white flag is slowly un-furling and i will soon be giving up trying to get my darling dog food horse to do a dressage test indoors! i really dont know what comes over him...outside tests are fantastic i couldnt ask for better (70%+)......then we get indoors...... it just falls appart (less than 60%!).

today we ended up going across the diagonal in trot and 'hitting a brick wall' at k!...stopped dead, kicked out, ran backwards then wouldnt move for ages! literally shaking and spooked in that corner every time we went pasted it again.....however ever every other corner was perfectly fine (as was every other cone with a letter on!)

so where do we go from here? we have before taken him training to get him over it...didnt work. we have done a consistent number of tests indoors to get him over it....didnt work. the only thing we have noted is that this spooking indoors (NEVER spooks outdoors) is getting worse over time...... eye sight problem may be???

not done the weeks shopping yet so........ ice cream for anyone who has got this far :D

I think you might be right re. eyesight. I would certainly have this checked.
Can you turn him out indoors or loose school him? How is he then?

It certainly may be worth getting his eyes checked, especially as he literally hit that wall and it frightened him so much. It may be that the lighting in the indoor school may be affecting him if his eyes are detiorating.

Seems a shame for him as he sounds genuine if he's doing well outside.

The only other possibility, is that in the past he's had a bad fright indoors and he can't get over that?

I would get him checked if he were mine x

My boy is generally good in an indoor school but some of them can freak him out a bit (especially if there are noises coming from the other sides of the wall like plants blowing against the wall or animals moving around)

Is it the same indoor school is he freaking in or is it with several different ones?

just to clear up any confusion... he didnt trot into a wall.... more he slammed on the breaks like he was just going to....the wall was a good 5/10 meters away from us! so there was no way he was actually going to hit it!

ive owned him for 5 and 1/2 years and when we first got him he was great both in and out (no fright since)...but the indoor work has very much deteriorated.... i never though about the lighting!!!!
