Official snow post....

About half an inch in Hants this morning, and been blowing a howling gale all night.

The wind blew all the hay we put out this morning around the field and my boy really wasn't keen on being turned out, even though he has so many rugs on he looks like the Michelin Man! The snow has compacted on the roads and is now turning icy. Hate it!

Just hope I can get up our various hills to get to him later

I opened the back door this morning and a big snowdrift fell in

The dogs have been tearing round like loonies in it

but I am leaving the ponies in for a bit. We live in a village near Pickering in North Yorkshire. Oh and it has just started snowing again

And the sky is as clear as anything so not even a hint!

Quite a lot here in Surrey. I really wanted to hack my horse out today (as have a rare afternoon off), but can't now as will be too slippery coming out of lane

We have several inches and it is still snowing hard. We're near the Wash in South Lincs. Gave the hairy Shetlands the chance to come in and they galloped into their stables!! They rarely do more than plod as they munch!

east of york update: we have snow! about an inch or so.

it was amazing seeing the foals reactions to their first winter wonderland!!

altho the 17yr old was also tearing round! fool!

Stockbury which is on top of the north downs we have 12 inches!

WE had to dig the door to the barn open this morning as the drift had covered nearly half-way up. No grooms today as they couldn't get to us so Mr Worried and I have done the yard and have just come in for lunch!

We were supposed to have a work christmas party at Detling showground tonight!!!

They have cancelled and rearranged for Monday though now

ive been watching the numptys still doing 60+ on the bypass & crashing at the roundabout (6 in last 2 hours)

When I woke up this morning I saw lots of snowing lying but I went to the farm there was hardly any. Pathetic I thought I was going to get some nice snowy pictures.
