Does anyone else ever feel like OH's are just like having children??? Or worse!!!

My OH is also horsey.. and I'm very lucky because we see eye to eye on most things and I obviously never get moaned at for doing horsey things 24-7 because he is normally with me :)

However, he's a nightmare to get motivated with his horse! We are lucky enough to have our own yard and currently have 9 horses. He works full time and I have just gave up my job to manage the yard and the horses (finish in 3 weeks yayyyy!!!)

I have 2 competing horses at the moment.. the rest are babies or just a bit slow!! And he has one horse of his own that I know he wants to get out and event but he's sooo lazy with it.. He'll maybe stick with it for a day or 2 and work away but then cant be bothered and wont set a date for his first event because 'whats the point' because he doesnt ride it...

Answer?? RIDE THE HORSE!!!!!!!!

Can you tell this winds me up?? So, I am officially giving up.. Do what you like with the horse

Wrong approach, enter him in an event, tell him all his mates will be expecting him to do really well, let all of them know he will be going and invite them along to watch, organise beers and sandwiches for them all on site - and watch him pull his finger out and work the horse so he doesn't look like a pillock on the day!

Yeah, that'd be my approach :D His horse, he can do what he likes with it.

Unless...it's a really good horse and he's fine with you riding it, in which case I'd be tempted to take it out myself :p

definitely this. if its one thing men can't stand, its looking stupid in front of their mates!! :D:D:D

Lol NO! Not my type at all, I actually wish he'd sell it, but thats a VERY touchy subject! It's his first horse so he's staying which is fine... just wish he'd do something.. He doesnt even have an excuse to not ride because we have an indoor school..

Im hoping that when he see's my out doing well with mine he'll get jealous and want to join in :p

Ditch the oh. Change your sexuality. Invite me to come and take his place with my beasts and have use of your indoor school. You won't be able to get me out of it :D But you'll be ok with that as neither of us will actually want to do "other halfy" things together anyway :p

Problem solved :D

Bl**dy men! Never know how good they have it! I would bite someones hand off for the use of an indoor whenever I liked! :D

JFTD - Hahaha love that!

When can I move in? This weather's seriously affecting my riding schedule, my field is a mudbath! :D

I finish work at 5.. be home by 6.. I'm pretty sure I can have him out by half 6.. so say anytime after 7?? Gives me half an hour of running around screaming with glee until you arrive... :D
