I rode my mare at the weekend and she just wasn't quite right. Not lame exactly, but not really stepping out and feeling a bit stuffy.
The physio came today and found quite a few issues, not least that she thinks my saddle may not be fitting too well as the mare really dipped away from pressure around where the back of the saddle sits.
So physio will need a 2nd visit AND I am booking the saddler.
I can feel a major saddle purchase looming as know my saddle can't be adjusted much wider than it is currently and think that may be the problem
Does seem odd though, the mare has worn this saddle for 9 years with no problems other than occasional reflocking etc. Although I suppose she has done a bit more work since I sold my youngster and so has quite a bit more topline than usual.
Sorry pointless post, just seeking sympathy for what I expect will mean a soon to be emptied bank account!
