, hopefully the planned train journey to London wont be too painful tomorrow.

So any tips on how to sort her jealousy out would be very helpful. Its not specifically over food or anything, just any of my horses apart from her getting my attention. Shes herd leader does this make any difference?
Also is there anyway I can stop her kicking out (apart from hobbling her lol), it seems to be her first thing to do in her retaliation, she doesnt run away, just spins round and kicks out. Shes nearly caught me a few times but luckily ive either been that little bit too far away from her to catch me or ive managed to move quickly.

My mare did think it was funny to pick her heels up at me, I did not! I think we've cured her by flipping the end of the rope at her bum any time she appeared to be going to do it. We believe she was playing. She is quite possesive of people (we think it may be a breed thing as the old Appy was the same) You have to be quick, but it worked for us.

the way you say "jealousy issues" .. sounds as if you are making a fuss of them in the field?

Even if you don't have food in your hand/pocket perhaps she thinks you do?

you are probably right to some extent. all my girls live out 24/7, so everything i do with them is in the field, ill have to think of how i can sepeeate her when im talking to the others
