Oh dear... help please!!

My new ponys mane is very badly rubbed at the bottom due to badly fitting rugs by previous owner..
im debating what i should do to smarten it up?

Any ideas?

Personally I would shorten the whole thing to the same 2 or 3 inch length that you have just above the wither (what I call showjumper length). Hopefully you wont be in rugs much now and it will allow the very bottom bit to catch up .

i would pull it and blend the end into the new ,length...it wouldnt look so bad then

Same happened when i first got my pony, for me it was just a case of keeping the rest shorter until it grew to be the same length, really annoying when you are trying to plait though!

Pull it and buy a vest/neck lycra thing to protect it so it can grow back. I swear mane and tail condition makes manes grow! Add some soya oil in her diet to help good mane growth too. : )

When you say pull it to one length- do you mean the length of her little tuft? (Like around 1inch etc?)

i would just pull it a bit shorter so that they are not so obviously different lengths
