Oh dear I bought another dog

Having sadly had to have my Kerry Blue Terrier put to sleep couple of weeks ago I had decided I didn’t need another dog as already have the two Lurchers. Thought I might look in the Autumn.
Made the mistake of browsing Pets4Homes over breakfast yesterday, came across some lovely Salukis, boys - wanted a boy. 1 year old - didn’t really want a puppy. I love sighthounds and have had Saluki Xs and have always had a hankering for a pure Saluki.
They had been advertised for a while so thought I would ring the number and they would have gone. No still available. So I have put down a deposit. Won’t get him until end of August as it is a day’s trip there and back to collect him.
Hope I have done the right thing. But have a problem with impulse control - dogs, ponies and chocolate biscuits. I see one I like the look of I just can’t help myself!

Yes, that’s a good expression, my impulse control is sometimes a little lacking! Usually works out ok in the end!

I had a saluki cross and her recall was excellent. When there was nothing more intersting running in the opposite direction. :-) Love them though, pics will be needed. What colour?

my lurcher was the same, excellent recall as long as there were no furries about, then i might as well have not been there....all long dogs are beautiful in my eyes, cant wait for pics....
 
And where are the pictures?! Saluki is one of the two breeds I yearn for after springers. (Standard poodle is the other). There&#8217;s a breeder on here who tempted us with many photos. <3
