:D On a local horsey FB group, someone has posted a request for a 'mountain' block and has had a reply asking exactly how big her ginormous horse is! Oh dear, made me lol and think of this place!!

Ooooh how great would a mountain block be????? Might actually be able to get on my big beast without having to climb a flight of stairs first lol

My friend always facebook's that she's been ridding, most likely in a bridal and saddal. I used to love her little diary entries when we were on the same livery yard
I wish i could remember some of the really good ones!

I read an advert yesterday for a freelance rider available... usually dealing with naughty horses she was good with readers and bolsters...

OMG, I need to stay off that site, I'm so tempted to ask what some of the words mean on this ad!!

was brocken last year then terned away, been bk in work for 4 months, shes been schooled still needs a little more, walk trot and canter, she will take a novice on lead rean, hacks out in company and alone, she dose need an exspeanced jung jokey to bting her on, she is still a baby, comes with s full wardrobe, only selling as i am 2 big to do any more an kids have lost interst, droping price if sold bye weeknd from 600 - 300 as she is being wasted now, plz this is a lovly little pony, green pastported, all uo to date with everything, and microchiped, name on pastport

How they spelt a word like wardrobe correctly but nothing else amazes me! Sorry, it's the teacher in me!

I read once that a horse had "wingles" instead of windgalls.... I thought that was rather sweet... lol

A friend of mine asked me to go and see her horse a few years back and I said, "looks like windgalls to me" but you've got the vet coming next week anyway so just get him to check. I know the vet and he text me giggling like a kid and told me she kept saying has the horse got wingles and what can be done, lol. I did tell her and we had a giggle over it. Thought it sounded rather sweet too :)

I found an advert last night for a 55.5 inch snaffle and had to ask how big the horse was!

Seen far too many 'cushions' ponies now. Yeah, some of it is predicitive text, fair enough, but sometimes the total lack of knowledge is obvious and worries me.

It happens because many people don't ever read so have no idea how words are written down. Like the poor kid who'd been named Porsher.
I am a pedant and it drives me mad, I should think my tongue is scarred from all the biting of it that I do but have learned not to say anything as people do get very upset if you point it out.

My friend is famed for getting her words mixed up. She does know what she's referring to but when she says things they tend to come out wrong. Her best ones are that she wished she had a proper 'mirage' to ride in, and what the heck was the name of the bit she had, it was on the tip of her tongue but her brain had gone blank, oh! an 'egg snuffle'. This was after wine, which may have had something to do with it! She's a perfectly capable person, but words are not her friends!
