Oh dear Lord! - Time to move??

Sec A out tonight in some pretty rough weather but with good shelter, plenty to eat and the best rug there is..............her self grown coconut mat! Hopefully keeping herself warm will use up some of the fat she has developed over the summer and autumn.

I completely understand! should have mentioned that they have only just gone on to winter fields and been in pens for a few due to winter fields not being ready yet! and i know before long they will be in the winter pens again eating lots of hay for a long time! Just thought we might be able to enjoy it as it is only raining!
Lot more bab weather to come yet .Can they at least not go out hour or two.
Winter is a long time. All the really dangerous weather yet.

If an owner decides to keep their horse in, or restrict turnout for whatever reason that's one thing. Quite another if the yard owner decides that the horses should be kept in for days on end to avoid the fields being trashed. The welfare of the horses should come first, second and third and that should mean daily turnout if that's what the horse needs.

Are the pens grass or surface? How big?

If your YO provides you with winter turnout and you just prefer the field then that is kind of their call. They don't sound like they are forcing you to leave in as such?
