Oh dear Lord...

3 and hes got that effing great lump flopping about on him?!

Nevermind the one shoe - i mean ffs at that point for balance reasons and not throwing the rest of his body out of kilter pull the damn thing off

TBH nothing shocks me in the horse world anymore. The more I see of it the more I want to give up the will to live, nevermind the poor bloody horses that are suffering everyday.
People will never learn, it is futile trying to educate the un-educated about horse welfare when even some of the so called professionals treat their animals as they do!
3 years old and a still growing cob. Broken to drive, has lost 3 shoes so dread to think how this has affected the poor lad's muscles and tendons in its legs :(
Not to mention hefferlump sitting on him at the age that he is.
Yes cobs are bred to carry weight. I am no lightweight, however my cob is now ten, fully grown and has a good topline and muscle to be able to perform.
That poor sod of a pony has probably been affected for life now as are all the other equines that are bred, raised and trained in order to profiteer in some way.
There is no policing of this. While there are many people who would try and do something positive about horse welfare there are plenty of others who either see what they want to see, stand on the sidelines or care about nothing else except their own horse and what bling, bling or new expensive rug or bit of tack they can buy.
Rant I know but adverts like this get me started and believe me you don't want to get me started on horse welfare, could write a book about what I have seen and experienced the last 5 years since owning horses!

I find DD impossible to look at. The owners of the site in my opinion should check adverts and pictures first before allowing them to be posted and apply some common sense. I once saw an advert on this site with a young filly teatherd on a chain to the ground with the neck tie clearly ingrown it the poor things neck. Fourtunatley after many phone calls and emails a welfare organisation investigated and advert was finally removed.

Totally agree Cobmum however my point about welfare is completely highlighted when you consider that only a few people have posted on this thread and only 410 views and one about cobs has had over 100,000 views and many many replies.

And he's just the tip of the iceberg. For all those alive and in this state there'll be plenty that didn't make it.

Same number is also selling a car - bet that's got all 4 wheels.

Until there are more powers afforded to welfare organisations, and laws are stricter, horses and ponies will continue to suffer at the hands of p-ikeys like this.

I saw the advert too about the 1 shoe & was disgusted. Not sure if they are for real - or if they are what point they are trying to make, other than their horse is totally uncared for. Wonder how long exactly it's been on. Disgusting.

Words fail me....for once! Poor boy...no wonder he's calm...he's keeping still. I too think the dragon driving site owners should monitor their ads..If it were me, I would rather lose the ad fee & have a marvellous reputation..from the page lay out on first glance I thought the ad was by dragon driving...now I know it isn't, they have still gone down in my estimation as it would imply that they condone the treatment of the horse & the behaviour of the owner. Ignorance is a pet hate of mine when it regards animal husbandry.totally unacceptable.Lets hope the poor boy is in a better home soon...

not the best advert its screaming STAY AWAY i bet hes not botherd by loud banging probably been driven into the ground and gave up at 3 years old poor lad and the shoes is that a p....s take . and fatty on him would never be sat on eney 3 year old of mine hope somebody goes along and saves him but there will be then money to buy more !

Jeez! That is truly heartbreaking :(

I NEVER normally say this, but I want to take him home with me :( Poor little boy.

Jesus Christ. Why the **** has she left it with one shoe?

Echo everything others have said about him giving up .

That little coloured does not look happyhes not even finished growing and they're 'driving' him.

I really must ban myself from looking at DD.

This little filly is £185. :(

I just can't have any more, although I wish that I could. I've had to turn down a couple of Welsh youngsters as it is.

That little filly has been playing on my mind ever since her advert appeared mid week.

I just think she could grow up to be quite a useful sort bless her I just don't think I can commit to having another field ornament given I have 2 already plus an oap.

Really makes me think it's never worth breeding a foal the stud fee alone would be more than this little filly

I so want to rescue that poor little cob :( It's so hard to stop myself saving them all. I know he probably won't, but I really hope he goes to a nice home and becomes the love of someones life :(
