Well my car is old banger and its always getting rugs horse feed ect put in it.
Its not the most tidy car, and having a kiddy eating in it probaly doesnt help.
Well went to leave the house today at some silly hour on my day to go to a pony show, and theres only a mouse in my car!!!!:eek::eek:

And to top it off my 2 apprently stable terrier, sat there shaking scared while it ran around and i had to try and get it out!!!

Mine is a mobile tack room....

It contains his bridle, boots, my hat and bp, lunge gear, reflective stuff, supplements if I've just bought them, a spare pair of reins, a bit and probably other stuff. Just as well I rarely have passengers :p

Did give someone a lift once and had to spend about 5 minutes clearing the passenger seat. And they weren't horsey :o

It also needs a good wash and Hoover but its too cold to do that atm!

Snap, mine is horrid and its a new one  I am not a car snob and there is no point in cleaning it this time of year, its a work horse and everything is carried in it or in just in case I might need it  The only time I panic is when a none horsey person asks for a lift then I look at the state of it and feel a bit of a slob  It gets cleaned once a year, not had a mouse in it, but sometimes it does smell like a rat has died in there

ours smells of boiled cabbage! wet dog, wet horse rugs, mouldy carrots, random bits of tack etc all make a car that no-one wants to get into!!!!
also its so dirty you cant read the number plate...ops! :) better keep out of the way of the police then!

I used to keep my cars tidy and in good order, sometimes I even waxed them and sent them off for a valeting..... then my other half indoctrinated me into the horsey world and this all changed!

My car's not been washed for about a year, there's at least one rug in the boot and there're a few good handfulls of biowood bedding rattling round under the seats. It's carried haynets, filthy horse paraphenalia of all descriptions, even smelly rolled up rubber matting.... my poor car must wonder what it's done to deserve this mistreatment! lol

My OH tears his hair out at the state of my car! It isn't THAT bad, but the boot is loaded with horsey things, mucky wellies, hat, coats and random smelly socks!! - And the muddy dog sheet!
The back seats are reserved for the kids.. so alongside general rubbish, discarded crisp packets and crumbs I store their spare clothes and 'car-toys'. When I clean it out, I lose things, so it doesn't get done very much!!

My mum had a mouse in her car - and it was a clean car! Said mouse chewed something and £100 later the car worked again!!

Mine is filthy, its not had the back seats up since I bought it over a year ago its so full of stuff, I can proudly (?) say that I have had the Polish staffed car wash refuse to valet it

I once collected two goats in my company BMW, we drove past a company van on the motorway and the driver recognising my car gave me a cheery wave, I waved back telling the goats through my clenched teeth not to move an inch lol

This is what im concerned about, already had wires to the back lights chewed by certain non mouse catching terriers and had to get it fixed so dont want it happening again.
Ive emptied it tonight of all the stuff it had in it, cleared the rubbish so taking it to halfords tommorow where theres some very good car cleaning men, who charge a tenner, but u usually double that as its filthy!!:o
And then my dad has given me a mouse trap!!;)

Snap, due to kids and horses mine is the same inside, my OH dispairs. And Ive also had the local car wash place refuse to clean it- ooops!

I do get very embarrassed though when people 9esp non horsey) ask for lifts..

Its being replaced this week for a newer model, and Im going to see how long I can keep the new one clean for (I give it a week!)

my car is pretty smelly but i do clean it out cos my kids shout but my YO has a jeep and she had to use a shovel to clean it out!!:D:D

Haha its the polish that clean mine, i usually drive to the sainsburys first so i can run the hoover over it before i give it to them to clean. :o

Hahaha luv this!!!:D:D goats in the company car!!!:D:D

I had to give my manager a lift the other day... mortifying. I warned her it was bad whilst we walked to the car, and she did the usual 'no no, don't worry, can't be as bad as mine' - then said "Dear God, you can tell you're a horsey girl!" when she got in :o :D

Heaven alone knows what is on my car (LWB Mitsubishi) I do know that on Friday I went to the abattoir to pick up 8 lambs we had had killed and butchered. They all went on the back seat and floor, In the back I had three large skips filled with green tripe.
There are various lead ropes, tow ropes, jump leads, and a couple of tins of soup rolling around in there!

Last winter we had a rat infestation and one was coursed by the terriers, the only refuge was in my car engine. That I did not want and when I opened the bonnet two terriers jumped into the engine - rat ran out and was caught by another terrier.

Our hay-farmer approvingly said ours was beginning to look like the inside of his tractor when OH collected hay the other day...not a good sign I felt....
on the mouse side of things, last year our car developed a mystifying habit of the rear driver side footwell filling up with water...it turned out a mouse had made a nest of leaves somewhere vital and blocked some kind of drainage thingy....the joys of the countryside! :D

My boot is also full of horse stuff, wellies, my hat box which also contains my reflective gear, balaclava & chaps, my jodhpur boots, wooly hat for the field & two riding coats (there may be more I've forgotten). Both the inside & outside are currently covered in mud & it's generally just a mess.
I'm an accountant but luckily am spending a lot of time in the office at the moment, my colleagues just laugh but I feel I have to keep it a bit cleaner when I'm going out to clients.
One client is a car dealer & valeted it last year, he gave me my keys back & told me he hasn't seen a car that bad since his wife had horses! We are obviously all the same.

One of the horse feeds tipped over in the car and there was sugar beet everywhere. I put a couple of my chickens in there to clear it up :) I thought it was a brilliant idea (and so did they) but OH was horrified. Dog has her stick collection in the back and there was a ram's horn in there today (that she just absolutely had to take to the stables ;))

I now have 2 mobile skips, my automatic (dodgy knee/hip) disco is usually the horsey car, had grass growing in it once and found an old birds nest, that had me puzzled for a while, even I would notice birds in the car, was a forgotten find after a walk in the woods, anyway that car is broken.
had to use my manager OH's Xtrail, usually kept tidy now full of bits of hay and straw, a few layer pellets, crisp packets etc etc, he keeps saying we should clean it, but what's the point till our workhorse is mended

Mine is a stable/tack room too! It is a converted van and I have the back seats flooded down to make the boot bigger which is really handy for getting feed/shavings/rugs etc in. I have just about everything you can think if in my car - rugs, (both clean ones and dirty ones which I need to take to take in to be cleaned when I get time!) random bits of tack, numerous bits, plenty of crisp packets/chocolate bar wrappers/drink bottles, boots, gloves, coats... and lots of loose bits hay and shavings! I really need to get it cleaned out soon! :o

I work in a feed merchant/country centre and we had one guy come in for rat poison for his car as it was infested with RATS, thought it was a joke but they were definitely there.TBH if it was mine I would probably have refused to get in it never mind drive it somewhere.

My car is like a shed but luckily I have use of Mam & dads cars when I need a presentable one!

Mines is a navara and sadly the "stuff" has spilled into the cab, i have boots, rugs and tack with about 20 jackets for various weather conditions, the truck is clear for picking up hay and shavings :o

I really hate when folk think just cos there are 5 seats that means there is somewhere for them to sit :o. And when they screw their nose up and roll the window down, that annoys me too :D

I have a car issue at the moment. I killed my MGF earlier this year, and my mum very kindly lent me her Peugeot on an open ended basis. Problem is, we are all going to Australia for Christmas, and Dads Landrover is going to go and live with a friend of his so it can be turned over and generally looked after. So - I have to drive Mums car down to Devon to collect them, and it is a stinking pit of horsiness. My folks are countryside sorts, and swear that they don't mind - but I don't think they realise quite how rank it is. I am going to have to get it valeted/decontaminated before I go and get them...

My F was always immaculate, and they know this, which makes the Peugeot abuse even worse!
