Oh dear - XC schooling tomorrow...eek!

I'm going XC schooling tomorrow with my little cob and OH has decided to take my mad loon mare round too.

Anyone got any helpful hints for a XC newbie? I am worrying now even though I know I should stop being a wuss!
I'm not worried about OH, as I have for a long while wondered if he should have chosen a stuntman career rather than IT.

Have fun! Put neckstraps on the horses so you can grab it if you have a scary moment

Good point! His friend has chewed off most of his mane near the saddle...although I might be nearer the ears anyway

good luck, i went saturday and it was shall we say interesting

but that was on a 14 yr old grade A who couldn't believe what i was expecting him to jump

have a good canter round to relax and start popping a few simple fences and build up from there, don't push yourself just have fun and your confidence will grow very quickly
