Decided to take my ned for a hack on some tracks close by to the field, a hack i often go on. Trotting along nicely when we came to the little ditches (well tiny drenches to drain the fields) so popped over the couple that there are. But i think my old ned was half asleep, i predicted it before it happened really- he's got his striding all wrong and he's gonna stumble!

Well he had and did, well actually fell

He seemed to just fall over, bless him. I was shot out the side door, landed on my hip/back and head and he ended on his side. All i remember was one of his front legs being inches from my chest and thinking please no!! thankfully he missed as i rolled out the way, he got up and cantered back home (no roads thankfully) leaving me to limp home

This is only the second time i have fallen off him, but both with similar scenarios (him coming down with me) just wondering if anyone else seems to have an exceptionally clumsy horse? he's a silly lad!

My old horse (Jake R.I.P.

) tripped when cantering along a bridleway and did an almost perfect forward roll - so my friend said who was hacking with me - I went out the front door and all would have been fine as it was quite a soft landing except that my leg fell onto the only rock that was on the trail! Then Jake landed on my leg!! Luckily didn't break anything but still have significant dent in my lower leg a year after it happened! Jake was a dizzy but otherwise unhurt - good job cos I had to ride him home due to the fact I couldn't walk!!
My new horsey is even clumsier!! He is 17hh but I don't think he realises how big he is so he's always bumping his nose or head on the stable door frame!!
