I was delayed getting home last night and OH said he would go down to feed Ellie for me. I was a bit dubious as he would have to put her headcollar on (something he has never done) and get her out of the gate while keeping Blue in. I told him to go ahead and said I would be there as soon as I could to put Ellies rug on.
I drove up imagining all kinds of horrors, had he managed to keep Blue in? Had he remembered to shut the first gate or had he left it open and let the horses out onto the road? I drove up, no flashing lights, no loose horses, and walking up the drive I saw Blue in the field and OH holding Ellie who was just finishing her tea and was all rugged up
OH hadn't crossed the surcingles and had done the leg straps up wrong, but other than that he had done a grand job
He said putting on the rug was like a puzzle from the Krypton Factor, he had to lay it on the ground and work out which bits went where before he put it on Elle, but he had done it, bless him.
All I have to do now is to work out how to get him to poo pick and I have my own groom
