When I bought Norman and Shenkyn a few weeks ago the breeder said it was a shame I wasnt closer as he'd love someone like me to break ponies for him... I suggested sending a couple down at a time.
Monday he rang and said he'd be down in next couple of days with 2 as he had a drop off at the M5 some where.
Its an 8-10 hour drive all the way down to us from him

He lives south west Wales.
Any way, I had a phone call about 10.30 am yesterday, I was caked in oil and cuts trying to start the shitty ride on mower OH bought for up the fields.
Breeder was outside my house

Luckily only 5 min drive from fields!
Heres the boys
He has put a price on them that he wants and whatever I make on top I keep

Once these 2 are sold, I'll be getting a couple more!

I am guessing he is paying you livery whilst you are keeping them in preparation for sale? if so good deal...

If not, then he saw you coming lol!!

Seriously, they are lovely ponies but the market as you aleady know is saturated with this type of pony. I truly hope you can make enough to cover the time and effort it takes you to sell them at a decent profit margin.

Good luck they are adorable!

Who does the grey remind you of Col

I fell in love with him when he got him off the trailer!

Winkfield, I rent 10 acres for £20 a week, so no, it costs me nowt to keep them
wink.gif

He didnt see me coming, like I say they are worth next to nothing up there, so he doesn't want a lot for them!
If I sold them for £800 each Id make hell of a lot

BFG, I have 10 horses now

only several are mine for keeps, Bear, Buddie, Gimley, Mr Dinks, Norman

how big are they? i need to back my little welshie in the spring, shes so tiny though i dont know how i will get a rider small enough who is competant. Shes around 11.1 / 11.2hh and shes so dainty!
I will be getting in touch for tips!

thats reassuring then lol!!! - good luck with them.

Was not meant to sound derogatory!! (in middle of working lol) just thought if field rent was more you may be paying a fair bit to keep them before prep for sale!!

Thats the trouble with renting land...it is sooo easy to collect!!!!

Enjoy and sure you will get some nice homes for the little peeps!!

Im not 100% yet, but I think they are both 11.3hh, they are slightly bigger than Norman, Thanks guys

Got 6 welsh A's now lol!

Milly feel free to ask

Winkfield I know where you were coming from, I used to rent a 1 acre field, it cost me £10 a week per HORSE!
I had my 15.1hh cob and 2 sec A's and it was £30 a week!
I look back now and can't beleive I paid that lol!
