Oh God... 9th and 10th ponies came yesterday!

When I bought Norman and Shenkyn a few weeks ago the breeder said it was a shame I wasnt closer as he'd love someone like me to break ponies for him... I suggested sending a couple down at a time.
Monday he rang and said he'd be down in next couple of days with 2 as he had a drop off at the M5 some where.
Its an 8-10 hour drive all the way down to us from him

He lives south west Wales.
Any way, I had a phone call about 10.30 am yesterday, I was caked in oil and cuts trying to start the shitty ride on mower OH bought for up the fields.
Breeder was outside my house

Luckily only 5 min drive from fields!
Heres the boys
He has put a price on them that he wants and whatever I make on top I keep

Not a bad deal, their worth a lot more down here than up there

Adante 3 yr geld, only halter broken, but really quiet

Duke, Adante, Norman and Timmy

Bryntaf Duke, 4 yr old Gelding, been broken, just needs a bit of schooling, will turn him round pretty quick. He's Shenkyns half bro

They both had a really long journey yesterday, they've picked up already

Once these 2 are sold, I'll be getting a couple more!

Seriously, they are lovely ponies but the market as you aleady know is saturated with this type of pony. I truly hope you can make enough to cover the time and effort it takes you to sell them at a decent profit margin.

I fell in love with him when he got him off the trailer!

Winkfield, I rent 10 acres for £20 a week, so no, it costs me nowt to keep them

He didnt see me coming, like I say they are worth next to nothing up there, so he doesn't want a lot for them!
If I sold them for £800 each Id make hell of a lot

how big are they? i need to back my little welshie in the spring, shes so tiny though i dont know how i will get a rider small enough who is competant. Shes around 11.1 / 11.2hh and shes so dainty!

Was not meant to sound derogatory!! (in middle of working lol) just thought if field rent was more you may be paying a fair bit to keep them before prep for sale!!

Thats the trouble with renting land...it is sooo easy to collect!!!!

Winkfield I know where you were coming from, I used to rent a 1 acre field, it cost me £10 a week per HORSE!
I had my 15.1hh cob and 2 sec A's and it was £30 a week!
I look back now and can't beleive I paid that lol!
