Ty is coming home already. Apparently he wouldn't let them put a bridle on and then squashed the woman against the wall. Poor sod has had a massive upheavel in his life and needs time to settle down a bit....but either way he's on his way back.

I really can't see anyway around this than to sell Oscar....I'm truely gutted. Thought it was too good to be true finding my dream horse! x

I can't have them together again - in just two days Oscar is a much easier horse to deal with as he's not suffering the separation anxiety from Ty.

I feel sick as I know (and this is awful) that I'm going to end up dispising Ty if I sell OScar but there really is no other option.

At this point in time I'm considering selling up completely and giving up....this really is too much to deal with on a constant basis!

They didn't give him much of a chance did they? If I remember rightly he only went a couple of days ago. Poor horse possibly just needs a bit more time to settle. Hope it all works out in the end.

I know, I thikn it's a bit unfair that they're not giving him a chance....and they kept telling me they could deal with his little quirks.

Obviously not.

I can't believe that she threw in the towel so quickly. What a shame. I hope that you can find someone else who will give him a chance to settle.

I just don't think that anyone else is going to 'get' him....I love him but he's turning into a bigger nightmare than ever I thought possible.

Bless him!

I might have the wrong horse....but is Ty blind in one eye? (sorry if I'm mistaken).

If he is, I was just wondering if they were trying to bridle him on his blind side.

Yes he is. I told them that he gets stressed if you dither and faff around him. Poor sod though that they're not going to give him a chance to settle. If a horse was anxious, I'd leave him in a field and just bring him in to be groomed and fed for a week if that's what it took.

Oh what a shame for you. However having had the same happen to me a long time ago when a horse went on trial, tbh, I would say someone who sends a horse back so quickly is probably not the best person to have the horse anyway.

Horses do need time to settle so many people dont seem to give horses a chance.

I am sure you will find someone else.

So would I. There are often people who treat them like machines and are unwilling to understand how much of an emotional upheaval moving can be to a horse. Bad enough for some to move yards with their current owner, but new yard, new routine and new owners is obviously going to be more of a shock to their system.

Poor Ty.

Like everyone else I can't believe she gave in so quickly. I think this says more about her than it does about Ty - how could she possibly cope with his other quirks (not that I know what they are!) if she falls at the first hurdle?? She's probably a very nice lady but needs to assess what she can and can't cope with before she wastes anyone else's time.

definately N.

Bizarrely a lady who wanted him before has just seen my post and has offered to take him on. Like you guys she can't believe that they've given up after a day and a half and is used to dealing with issues. It's not like he's bronced anyone off - he was obviously stressed at this new environment and prob needs to be chucked in a field for a week or so and brought in every day for a feed/groom so they can bond.

Can you believe they said that when they tried to pick out his feet he #shock horror# kept turning around! I'm so annoyed at myself as when we loaded him and he took a few attempts she was faffing around him and I doubted her then.

Lesson is, listen to your gut instinct.

Fingers crossed this works out. x

Totally agree.

I do feel for you. I would have this with my horse , we work around his little quirks , he is talented but not a machine and we know him so well. I think it is a great shame and hope it can be worked out.

Just been looking through pics of Ty and found this one:

The crazy horse with my novice boyfriend on top - who hadn't ridden for about 20 years. He proceeded to trot him around the school on his own....

I must go to bed and stop being angry!
