I was marking up things that I intend to get for the horse over the next few months (unless I have a decent lotto win, I can't afford it all at once, however much I'd like to!), So thought I'd kit him out in a nice new travel rug and boots, I want some decent xc colours eventually, so added those, and some boots for him, oh and a nice bright head collar so I know it's mine...

The shame! Thing is the poor horse is a gelding!

Great colours. Used to be my colours with my pony but decided to change it all for my horse as didnt think he's suit pink considering he's a big big boy who goes by the name of rambo?! hahaha

Thankfully jake looks good in pink. Was going to be pink and brown, but decided it stood out better against black and looked smart. He's such a tit though :D Never known a horse as big as him to be quite such a baby about silly things! So looking forward to our 1st 1 day event, any siggestions how to get the giraffe, sorry ex racer, to come down on the bit are much appreciated!

That's my cc colours :) I also have for my little horse the prem equine airflow boots in black with pink airvents :)

I don't suppose you (or anyone, for that matter!) can send me a link to a pair of boots like these as they sound like something I need :D

Thanks x

Try the premier equine site? Although I have some recollection that they discontinued this colour?
Re saddle cloths - I am about to list in eBay a black polypad square with pink binding if anyone looking for something like that? Bought it as couldn't resist the matchy-ness with my cc colours but what I didn't consider is that as I mainly event on my own, often with two horses, and there isn't usually time to change saddlecloths between sj and cc and I can't sj in the black and pink cos it would clash with his burgundy leather tendon and fetlock boots and my burgundy stock and brown tweed jacket!! So I have literally not used it - bought on eBay second hand but looks as good as new - would look fab for pure XC or anyone who events with someone to help tack changes!!

I believe the site is custom-xc.com, my daughter is after some matchy matchy from there herself :D that looks fab glamourpuss!

Jen - I'm not sure that they have them anymore. I think they were the air cooled eventing boots - and did look cool, but I can't see them on the premier equine site anymore :(

I have got some fabulous matchy matchy red that I used on Roo, which was lovely, but the bright red does not look good on a orange pony

No I know :( I can't find any on ebay either! I've never even seen them before, and they sound perfect for me :D

LOVELY .... what website is the xc top from ?? xx

custom-xc can't remember if it's .com or .co.uk though

There is another thread going with peoples reviews of them in CR too.

ecrozier - how much are you looking for for the pad? Is It big enough for the 16.2hh titty baby? Thinking i should have a snorkle really after he lay down in teh water jump with me when we went for him to have a play and nose at the jumps!

They were cool! But, as long as your not looking for x-countrying, the sports wraps PE do are pretty good. I have some for Abi, and like them a lot - but I think they would hold too much water for XC

Ught I want it all NOW!!!! But need to get him and me fit, weight on him and off me, and muscle him up more, and get his head DOWN! Did try the draw reins on him a few weeks ago and as soon as they were on (not holding them) his head came down (he's in a running mart usually), he stands with is head down, but as soon as you move off he's a giraffe again

Keep trying eBay jennleep, as they do turn up on there now and again, and until fairly recently prem equine did still have them
in the sale but only in Pony (Pygmy) size - which mine are!
Glamourpuss yes it's a full size poly pad, bought to use on
my 14.2 and 16.2 both of whom are 17" or 17.5" saddles.
Not sure re price, think I paid £22 on eBay so would probably have started it at £15 plus p&p, but pm
me if interested, the binding is bright rather than baby pink!

Have done :)

BTW anyone who is handy with an iron and scissors... I bought a big sheet of the iron on transfer satin a few days ago, came yesterday and used pencil to draw round heart cookie cutter, cut out with the backing plastic, stick it where you want it on the top and iron it on (tea towel over it) and it looks pretty good :)

Have used a H&M hoody, relieved of its hood very neatly, to make a xc kit until I can afford the black and stars one. Will Post a pic later with the modified hat cover!

My tomboy sister has forbidden me to put pink on my boy, threatening to quit being my groom if I do.

I am very jealous. That's a fab matchy matchy!

OP its perfectly OK! Dont panic! I echo the statements above that ebay is a good place to find these things. By the way, I am very sad, as I find it perfectly ok for event riders (daughter is one) to do the matchy matchy bit, but I do chuckle at the matchy matchy posts by all the dressage divas on here. We dont quite go down the matchy matchy with the travel boots, but seeing as daughter is sponsored, she is dressed from head to foot in violet (sponsors colours), with logos everywhere. Saddle cloths however are white with sponsors logo on it in requisite BE size.

Glitterpony, is [****] your company by any chance?! The only posts I've seen from you are about it!

Right did my DIY kit this morning (Brown and pink to match current hat cover until I get the proper stuff) What do you think?

Looks fab! My OH hates me putting pink on roo - but I maintain it's only on me not him :) I also managed to get on eBay a pair of black and pink xc gloves but bought wrong size :(
have emailed you re the polypad!

Try a company called spreadshirt.com (I think its dot com). I have used them twice now for having t shirts personalised but they offer a massive range of clothes, such as sweatshirts and i think rugby tops. They also have a massive range of transfers that you can customise your garment with. Im pretty sure they could come up with something very similar to glamourpuss's top. To top it all, I found them well priced and their postage was super quick. Ive been toying with the idea of having some 'team brookster' t shirst printed for when were away next week lol.
