My other half had his first riding lesson last night on my friends big gorgeous Clysedale mare and....he has the bug!! He has asked for another lesson next saturday.
The lesson went fab, i only watched him as he got on and then i went to muck out as was too nervous to watch, but i sneaked a peak towards the end and he was walking figures of 8, steering by himself etc and as he put it he learned how to 'start, stop and steer'. He then asked how long it will take until he can gallop and wonders whether he would be ready for Burghley next year. Bless.
Am worried now he will decide he wants his own as I can't afford a new one for myself let alone him, maybe I will live to regret booking him the lesson
