So this evening at the yard, im faffing in and out of Moos stable like i do, while shes eating her dinner. Suddenly all hell breaks loose! Some idiot in one of the houses approx 100mtrs from yard starts a MA-HOOO-SIVE firework display. They are exploding almost above the stable block, and as we are in a valley the sound is echoing like surround sound! With the first bang, Moo has ran forwards in a panic, started crapping herself (literally) and flipped her dinner bowl up in the air in her crazed dash to get to the door.. so the floor of the stable is covered with 'panic induced liquid *****' and fast fibre slop- which i skid over in whilst desperately trying to get to safety :p:o
There was a fair amount of me swearing loudly (with some truely disgusting words i wouldnt normally use :o) into the darkness in direction of firework display and poor pony had lots of rather loud gurgling in her poor tummy after doing 3 'panic poos' in total. I stayed for a while after the fireworks finished as several of the other horses were on edge :(

But now im home and the drama is over and no harm has been done... i keep giggling thinking what i must have looked like scrabbling around trying to take cover! :p

Feel free to giggle at my expense :D

Almost the same thing happened here this evening, cue one pony panicking in the stable as I was rugging him up - not impressed. He was fine on the 5th in the field so I turned him back out again

The neighbours then proceeded to set fireworks off for the next hour one of which landed on my chicken shed roof so I had to fetch the ladder and hook that off

I then returned to the house to one very cheesed off dog and a puddle on the kitchen floor

I hate this time of year when the reduced fireworks are in the shops!

Rant over - I hope your clothes come up clean!

It's the look of panic and shock on her face whilst skidding past panic-pooing horse frantically trying to get away thats got me giggling :D

So glad ive provided some laughter to your evenings :D
WelshD- there seems to be more fireworks tonight than there has been on the 5th/whole week.. as you said, discount prices probably the reason! Hope your animals were all ok :)

Hahaha! That was my mental image too - arms and legs flailing amongst a shower of panic poo :p

Haha how mean are we!! :D:eek:

I'm imagining that you are going to walk into her stable tomorrow, take one look at the wall and see 'panic poo' all up it where you've splashed it everywhere in attempt to get to safety :p
