Today has been lovely.

First i rode my lad out and really enjoyed it and he was as good as gold (deffinate improvement to Sundays performance!)

The got back to the yard to be met by Marley's (my project horse) owners.

They told me that my friend has decided that she is ready to take Marley on for a 3 month loan with a view to buy which is fabulous because i know he will be loved and looked after, she has already said that she will keep up with the training i have already done with him. I will be sad to see him go but i think he will be a lovely horse with her.

Anyway Marleys current owners have asked me to take on their Norweigan Fjord, Stockton Ingrid permenantly.

I am absolutely over the moon! not only has Marley found a great home but i finally get a pony to play with!

Any way i would like to introduce my new Girly!!

I rode her in the field for 15 mins with her saddle and then bareback for a bit of fun, she is sooooooooooooooooo lovely and sooooooooooooooooooooo comfy and sooooooooooooooooo different to Indi (he stood at the gate neighing his head off while i was riding lol) She will mainly be used as my no stress no hassle pony lol
 
I just love her stripy mane and legs!! Cool pony!!

Agree a bit on the large side though - sure a bit more exercise will have her all trim.

as for the mane thing - good luck!
i did a Fjord makeover today, took forever as he just wouldnt sit still!!
tried making idle hairdresser chit chat but he was less than impressed!!
i left him even more impressed (not!) after his trim turned into a wash and trim. lol
 
Well she usually is hogged by her owner as she can suffer quite bad in the summer with sweetitch but for some reason they just havent bothered this year.

To be completely honest im not too bothered about trimming her up as she wont be being shown this year (maybe next) plus its her owners call if they want to trim her.

I know she is fat and unfit but she has been out 24/7 on lush grass for 5 months and hasnt done anything (last year she was a hell of alot bigger, infact i affectionately call her tank lol)

I plan on just taking things easy with her as her fitness is a worry and im sure once shes in regular work the weight will come off.

Its just so weird riding my lad (whos 17hh and like a pencil) and then getting on her lol shes sooooooo wide!
