Hello,

I did a post yeaterday saying I was going to see a pony for sale. I've been thinking about it for a while and have done my saving and sums etc. I wasn't in a massive rush but one came up online that looked nice so I decided to go and have a look.

Following a second viewing today with my very experienced, much trusted friend I have bought a pony subject to vetting!!!

Although there is still the vetting to go I am grinning from ear to ear, my very first pony that is all mine. After years of riding for other people I get to do things my way and how I want!!!

Slightly pointless post but am in on my own and wanted to share with some people who will appreciate how totally ridicuously exciting this is.

Eeek! I'm still a bit "oh my goodness"! Right, pony is a 13.2hh fell pony, very compact but with plenty of width and bone (needed as I'm not short!). He's 4.5yrs, been sat on but not really done much else. Been shown in hand a little. The main thing is that he seems (after meeting him twice) to be a genuinley nice "person", very sweet and not phased by much *touches all wood in sight* obviously we have to see how he reacts to being taken from his field and plonked on a new yard etc. but signs are all good. He hasn't had a saddle on for 18 months and today we took a saddle, plonked it on his back (no girth) and pulled the stirrups down to look at proportions etc. and he didn't bat an eyelid (long may that continue).
