Yes my OH has been doing some spring cleaning again.

(For those of you who don't know, he has a habit of throwing important horsey stuff away by accident thinking its rubbish or no longer needed without asking me first)

Last time it was my old pony Peggy Sue's lock of tail which I'd kept for god knows how many years after she was PTS

*rolls eyes*

So guess what it is this time?

I've got a very old carrier bag in my wardrobe and every year I have to rescue it from the bin! It's amazing how small rosettes were in the good old days!

yeah me too....as you waft the moths out of the way and blow the dust off, you realise how old you are!

They tend to use nicer colours now though, but the some of agricultural shows still use postage stamp size rosettes, well round our area anyway!

Hi Kenzo,

Was it a magazine or paper with the original advert from any of the horses you have bought?

I still have a 20 year old horse and hound magazine from when I purchased my first horse, Danny
smile.gif

But then again I am prob just sad! lol

Well done you *round of applause* yes I'll give you that one.

He told me he was sorting through the cabinet (books/photos/mags etc) and threw some of my old horse magazines away.

I said whoah....stop that right there, what 'old mags' have you thrown away!!??

''just your old ones''

which old ones????

Yes he's only thrown the issue of Your Horse away that me and Mackenzie was in......men!

He said well you should of kept in a safe place how was I to know which on it was, I said IT WAS IN SAFE PLACE!!....neatly in side the cabinet minding its own business with about 4 other magazines!!!

I wouldn't mind if there were 100's stacked about, but just a few in and he decides to throw them away.

arhhhhhhh! *bangs head on wall*
frown.gif

ok I'm calm again now
grin.gif

oh nooooo!

I would be really gutted! Was it a really old Your Horse? maybe you can still get hold of a copy of it??

Men are a nightmare at times! that said, mine would not dare to touch anything even slightly remotely horsey after accidently throwing away the only dressage sheet where my previous mare scored over 75% - beating the competition by 7% - she was pts 2 and a half years ago and I was so upset that he had binned it I cried for 3 days and hardly uttered a word to him!

Now he does not dare go anywhere near anything horsey!

LOL

Well done Gemsie

I've been sat here think what it could be.

Your OH Kenzo is a bit of a clear out fan, are you going to have anything left in your house soon?
shocked.gif

My OH on the other hand will not throw anything away but if you want something it's devils own job to find it
frown.gif

oh no, yes that must of been very gutting indeed for you.

Well he redeemed himself today, well in way, I asked him to nip down to the yard before lunchtime to take Py's rug off (as he's got a few days of work) which he clearly moaned about doing but I thought it was going to be raining today and cold so put his rug on last night, of course this morning the sun was out.

So I rang to check if he'd forgotten to do it and he rang back to say yes he's removed that red rug and hung it over his stable door.

I thought great but hang on a minute?
confused.gif

Red rug? no Py had a salmon coloured rug on with checks on it!

''Oh, I thought it was the red one on that dark coloured oss'' he said.

dark coloured! no he's chestnut what do you mean dark, he's not bay he's chestnut!!!

''whoops'' he said,

So then I asked him if it was Mackenzie's red rug he's taken of Mackenzie.

''No stupid, of course I know which oss Mackenzie is!'' he said

Well thats my friends horse you idiot, you've take it off Oliver!!
shocked.gif

Only to find out he was joking...thank goodness.
grin.gif

Trust me if one looked like an elephant and the other like moose, he'd still get them mixed up!
grin.gif
no the dustbin men came yesterday morning and he only told me yesterday afternoon while we were out shopping!
frown.gif

oh well no point crying over spilt milk an all, I'll live.

I think I would have got absolutly wild!!!
When I normally get my horse in I tie her up outside with some hay.
On a particualr day I had to stay late at work and rang my boyfriend to ask if he could get jazz in and then come and pick me up......... so he came to pick me up and on the way back up to the yard I said "thank god you brought her in its absolutly pissing it down!" he replied "I left her outside"
I went crazy, he left her tied on the yard, by herslef, in the p!ssing down rain and had actually taken off her rug.........but he did get the right horse, maybe hes not so bad after all?
wink.gif

Well, now there's a story, clambered on my cob last night to help my daughter with her new pony and mounted games...and guess what? Cob's a wicked games pony! Does all equipment, bends in a delightfully disunited fashion and adores it. I've got a sore back today!!! Still starry eyed over Bundle memories, even though he bucked like stink!

You can get back issues from Your Horse - have a look in their current issue and there's a telephone number to phone for them...as long as you know the issue number/date that is.

I too have ridiculous piles of horsey mags strewn all over the house so if toy tell me what issue I can have a wee look to see if i have a copy for you?

Just to second the people who've already replied above - I've got every Your Horse since about 2001 so if you do want to replace it.....
smile.gif

Coo!! Swine, just dont ever let anyone dig up the new patio, and stick to your story that he has run off to Australia!!
