Of breaking in my new boots!!!!!
Why did no one tell me how painful it was going to be?????

Have been limping and sitting very gingerly since picking them up on Wednesday.
OH as well as a couple of friends assure me that theirs were the same - I can only assume it must be like childbirth... worth it in the end by which time you have forgotten how horrible it was.
The backs of my knees and thighs look like I partake in sadomaschism - which in a weird way I suppose I do

Been walking around the house in them and look fairly similar to Forest Gump at the start of the film.
Rode in them yesterday for the first time and OH had me doing jump seat canter and trot for about half an hour, we did loads of rising trot and just kept saying FORCE YOUR HEELS DOWN.
I couldn't face wearing them today so lunged her instead.
I keep thinking I could have had a two week holiday for the price I have paid to inflict pain on myself

I have a soft pair and there lovely but they don't support my leg so after much umming and ahhing I decided to go for a made to measure pair Konig Grand Gester...
I officially now have all the gear and no idea

I do leave the ground occasionally - in fact I had a jumping lesson on Tuesday evening!!! Think Diva thought we were just doing pole work but in my eyes they were jumps

Old boots were perfect for that outing

That's a great choice.

They do take some breaking in but are so comfy when they have softened and will last for ages (so no need to go through the pain again for a long time)!

Hmmm, now that is why I bought my Sarms instead, and I am extremely glad I did having read this

I tried the Konigs on and OMG I was bruised from just trying them on so I have every sympathy for you having ridden them. You did make me laugh though not riding because you couldn't stand the pain, so lunged!!! What's the saying again, no pain no gain

Agony is not the word - rode in them agaian today. The bruises are really bad but they did feel better and they are starting to give. I did have some control of my legs today unlike Wednesday when I was definitely telling my legs to move but nothing was happening!
Have packed my old boots just in case I wimp out tomorrow
