I need tips on how you all convince your OH's when you want another horse.

How can i convince my OH that I NEED the miniture shetland colt that is being sold down the road?? My ponies are kept on his farm so I do kind of need his go ahead.

Thats actually a really good idea! I was just thinking of bringing it home and saying that the seller had moved so I can't return it even if you want me too!

Hes so cute (the colt, not my OH) piebald and tiny with a BIG fluffy mane.

Oh youve gota get him! Just cry men hate it when we cry

PS dont tell him that being a little pone it will most likely escape thru the hedges, trash sheep fencing, ignore electric fencing and NEED a small slimming paddock come spring so it wont get laminitis. And he will need gelding [ take this as you want, either pone or OH] this will cost £200 or so.

If I really want something, I pretend I want something far more expensive, then when I climb down to what I *actually* want, he's so relieved that I usually get it...

Sooo... pretend you want a grade A showjumper or a grand prix dr horse or something...

LOL defo agree with the buy it and don't tell him option - men are a tad unobservant at times so he might not notice. My OH took three weeks to notice the new cat. We have house cats....

Thats brilliant Zalacca, you've just made me laugh out loud.

I suppose with cats though you can just say that it just turned up and adopted you, I wonder if that would work for a pony?

When I was young my sister wanted a kitten and my Dad said no. So she kept it hidden in the garden shed for three weeks! Then one day it escaped and went into the house but it was too late to take it back then!
