We gotup nice and early this morning to take Daisy to a pleasure ride. As I was bringing her in from the field she panicked as we passed my open car boot, leapt up in the air and came down against my left leg, scrapping her hoof down my ankle and landing on the side of my foot. Needless to say I haven't gone on the pleasure ride, I can barely walk

It looks a bit dented but not sure if its broken so giving it a while to see if it stops hurting before I go to casualty.

OH is not impressed, reckons that even if I did take up knitting I'd probably maim myself with one of the needles

I dont want to Frighten your OH but on the knitting front my friends son had knitting homework and brought it home.
He left it on a chair and sat on one of the needles they had to rush him to casualty with excrutiating pain in his personal bits.

My doctor told me to give up riding, I told her I'd rather give up breathing!

I can maim myself doing the most innocuous things!! So I think BF realises that he'd have to pad me out in full body armour to eliminate the consequences of my clumsiness

My worst injury ever was falling off the bottom step of a flight of stairs when there was one more step and I thought I'd got to the bottom. Only time Casualty have ever had to give me morphine

I reckon that if you can maim yourself in your own house then you might as well keep riding. There's some kind of funny statistic about the number of people who die every year by things like putting trousers on, I always quote these people to OH

Work think I ought to take up motorcross as I'll be safer.

2 injuries in 6months (none in previous 20yrs)
1. torn abdomen muscles following fall SJing
2. Knocked out from kick to head, temp loss of hearing, fractured skull, torn ear, the list goes on for this one.

You'll be fine from yours, just tell him you're luckier than me!!
