I`ve been trying to decide to go to my local riding school show at the end of the month, its nothing special, nobody follows any rules in regards to the correct show atire etc and a personal show consits of walk, trot and canter on one lead (easy)
Just found out my oh has gone and bought me all the clothes i need inc, boots and jacket so guess my minds made up lol :)
I may die or may i win something lol, best get some group lessons booked for Ayla to get used to being in a school and other horses in a school :)
Done plenty of hacks with other horses and have schooled her in a paddock myself , transitions are good etc, but she can be fruity around other horses if they`re zooming around and she isnt.
Do you think i`m nuts or should i just get on with it and grow a pair :)

I think you will really enjoy it :) I love going to the local show, means I can meet people who ride in the same area as me and have a natter. I never win anything but it is a great place for a catch up.

Besides, in all your new gear you will look great, I'm sure :)

Good idea about getting your pony used to being in an environment with other horses though. I'm sure she will love attending a pony party!

Yes, just get on with it, you'll be fine! It sounds very low key, so just relax and tink of it as just a fun day with your girl. Oh, and have fun getting her all scrubbed up and looking pretty and take lots of photos to remind yourself how gorgeous she looks!

Thanks, i did use to love it when i was younger :) plus its one of only shows we could enter because she`s quite a pro at self harming :) its all experience if it goes tits up we`ll stick to what we do best..zooming around the country side:D
