Is a flash allowed ? The tinker keeps getting her tongue over the bit

yes tweed will be fine, as will your flash. no martingale though but if you want to grab onto something just wear a breastplate instead

don't have the test- you can buy direct from BD for like 50p....

That's what I need to do to get myself kick started, enter a competition and just go for it. Sorry not help on the "uniform" required but good luck, oh and I bought all the BD tests off the BHS website (when i had high hopes that I might actually use them!) in a pack for about £20, as they are all copyrighted!!

im just preparing for into B, never been anywhere near a dressage arena before, neither has my horse. Mine is Sept 6th !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck !

try a drop instead of the flash, they tend to resist a flash more

Again ofcourse, I would be surprised if you see many people there without one!

I take it martingale not allowed ? Depends...if it's a RC comp they might be fine with a martingale given that it is an intro test, if they run it under BD rules then no

i actually think that W/T are even harder in some ways...normally you can rely on others in the class losing control/ getting bronked with etc etc in the canter...in W/T tests it will probs all look more polished!

If you have balance rhythm and accuracy that all great but if you don't have the discipline or control to canter then it's not dressage IMO yip it's my opinion, it's also my opinion that it's not showjumping if you're only going over trotting poles, call me crazy but pole work needs similar attribute to showjumping but it's really not going the whole hog.

Harder? What to win? Or to get a higher score than anyone else? I have to say the W/T test may have a place in competitions for young/spooky/green horses or nervous riders but it's really not about going out and trying to beat everyone else's score. Surely the whole point is the experience and to get some pointers/comments from the judge? I dumbfounds me the number of people that come away from dressage thinking, I didn't get a rosette therefore I lost...read the test sheet, some of the comments in there are worth 20 rosettes as they could put you and your horse onto the right path.
