Do sponsored ride organisers never look to see what else is going on that day, or communicate between each other?

I did one last week at Farleigh. Also on same day there was one at Kingsclere and another near Oxford

On the 5th October there are another 3 on the same date within travelling distance - SOSR at Watlington, Sandhurt draghounds at Minley and V&C at Barbury Castle.

So 6 rides and yet only 2 of them will get my money! Pah

Go on the Barbury one I went a couple of weeks back when everywhere was flooded and the ground was great there loads of jumps, no roads. Really good ride.

It is actually quite hard to get the right days for everything when you have to take into account holiday seasons, likely weather, terrain condistions, whether the landowners want you on their land at certain times of year, if there are other events that might clash with horses...biker days, car ralleys, sponsored walks etc etc.
I am with the Derbyshire group of EGB (Endurance) and we have to juggle similar events with other groups such as Sport Endurance, local riding groups - several and Amber Valley riders who also do pleasure rides...usually in similar locations too. Not easy I can tell you...we do our best!
