Oil for a Bedford?

Just about to nip down the yard to do some bits and was wondering if anyone knows what oil a bedford takes?

May sound like a silly question but I have no idea, and not sure if I will find it in the handbook!

My husband used Ovaline Multi-fleet engine oil 15w40 when he did an oil change on my old Bedford (A reg), hope that helps.

Is it a petrol or diesel and how many cylinders does the engine have and what was the model and year of manufacture?
