Oil for clippers

Can you use anything else, or does it have to be "clipper oil"?

I've always been told to just use proper clipper oil. Not sure if you can use anything else

I've always been told clipper oil too, and stuck to it. The amount clippers cost I don't want to risk ruining them!

Proper clipper oil is best. I have used 3 in 1 in an emergency but not the best idea.
We have a clipper expert on here, hopefully he'll spot this thread and advise you.
