Oil measurements

Happy 2017 all!

How much oil would I add to a miniature Shetlands diet to help put on weight? She is currently on quiet mix and sugar beet.
Also, how much would I feed to a 15hh veteran cob to help with joints, she is also on quiet mix and sugar beet.

What type of oil are you thinking?

Very you looked at feeding micronised linseed? It has loads of benefits

Have a look at micronised linseed, it helps with weight gain and helps the joints and isn't as messy as oil!!

Okay thank you so much, how much would I feed to a miniature sheltland and a 15hh cob?

Charnwood milling who supply linseed recommend 150gm a day for a small pony and 200 gm a day for a large Tb. I feed it to my Tb and he has 2 coffee cups a day, maybe slightly more. I think you can feed it safely at a rate of 100gm per 100kg.
