Hi

I'm moving yards next weekend and thought i'd take the oppotunity to change to rape straw bedding. A friend of mine uses it and finds that her beds are much cleaner and drier than using straw. I quite often have to muck out on the way to work and find straw is so smelly.
The stables at the new yard are rubber matted, so won't need a really thick bed. Also I really don't like deep literring.
Any advise on using this bedding? And does anyone know any stockist in Kent?

We tried 'Bliss' which is a similar rape straw bedding & to be honest you need to have a deep bed with it to make it work. If you have a fairly small stable & the horse tends to stand on his bed & turn around disturbing it then it won't work properly. I'm afraid it didn't work with our horses & we went back to shavings.
Oh, & it doesn't matter wether you have ruibber matting or not to make it work it needs to be a fairly deep bed.

Bliss is not just rape straw now because of the shortage in raw material they have had to mix their products with wheat straw as well. If you want a pure rape straw product try nedz bed pro.
