Ok - am I being a stingy witch?

I think if its in your agreement you should stick to it or tbh if you don't stick to it then it has been a waste of time making agreement. if she can't afford him you should take him back cos what would happen if the situation arose where she needed vet?no you are not being a stingy witch, stick to your guns and remember there are many knowledgable loving loan homes out there! she wants £50 a week, me thinks she wants you to contribute to her living costs as well as horses!!!!!!!

Had the same thing a few years ago. Loves the pony etc. etc. but can't afford to keep her and wanted £60 per week - she lived in a large country house with her own stables.

I took the pony back - I considered it a ruse to get money out of me!!

So she got a pony on loan...and then decided to charge you for full livery? sheesh.

Will try to be brief.

I have a horse out on loan. We have a loan agreement.
The girl has had the horse for nearly a month and seems very devoted to him. However she has just stopped working due to (longterm) ill health and is now short of money to keep him.
Before she took the horse on loan we expressed concern about her financial stability, and she assured us that her parents/OH etc would help her out if she needed, and that money would not be a problem. Despite this, and the fact that the loan agreement states that all costs (except insurance) are her responsibility whilst the horse is in her care, she has asked if we could contribute to his keep until she is able to work again.

WEll, ever the mug, I thought maybe I could help (although it was just a maybe) so I asked what amount she was thinking of and said I would think about it. She has free livery and hay, so I thought it couldn't be much - bedding, feed and shoes really as a matter of course. Anyway, the cheeky minx wants £50, a week!!

Is she bedding him down on him silk sheets and feeding him caviar???

Anyway I said no, I can't afford that anyway. I am financially able to keep my horses in a nice way (just!) but only because I have a second job to pay for them. If I could afford to keep the horse he wouldn't be out on loan anyway!

She has called me a stingy snobby witch who has no compassion for people who are not as well off as myself! I have surprised myself by nearly bursting into tears!

Am I being unreasonable? I told her that if she couldn't afford to keep the horse I would have him back.

She is being a bloody cheeky witch!!!! Tell her to poke her £50 where the sun doesnt shine and get the horse back!!!!!

If I were you I would be absolutely furious. How dare she speak to you like that. I would be taking your horse back asap. Maybe it will teach her a lesson not to be so rude.

What a total flaming cheek, £50 per week and she doesn't have to do pay for livery and hay?!!!!! Get your horse back and try again, as you're apparently a stingy snobby witch this should come as no surprise to her... I am actually annoyed for you!
