3 LTR, diesel, 35 MPG 7 seater. MOT and tax...............
£650! consider part ex, do you think he'd love a nissan Micra lol!
Ive got some good insurance quotes on one.

I have a Vauxhall Monterey, same sec as a isuzu trooper and it is a cracking motor. Big inside too, easy to drop the seats in seconds if needed, but also a very big boot. Powerfull motor 3.6/8 valve can't remember at the mo. Never had any problems with it, i do have it regularly serviced though, but tow's fine and really is a work horse.
Even though it is petrol it is suprisingly good on a run, it's just when you want to use about town it can be a bit thirsty. All in all a good motor & you can use spare parts from the isuzu as they are the same spec.

Plenty on the internet at the momnet & very reasonably priced.

Citation is the trim level, its a posh one!!

I had one of these and its a cracking car. I had it until it had about 110k miles on the clock and then some friends bought it. Its now done over 200K and still going strong with no problems.

BUT ideally get the model before the facelift (OR make sure you call Isuzu to make sure its had the new modified Fuel Injectors fitted). I was so pleased with the original one I bought one of the newer ones and had major fuel injector problems (fitted at Isuzu expense but still a pain, particularly when you break down in Wales and need to get towed back to Kent). Ideally you want the original 3.1L version I think

The Citation is brill, air con, heated seats and all the bells and whistles.

Hi, Great to drive - a couple of things tho - You aint getting 35MPG unless its downhill with the wind behind. Also the 3.0 were notorious for the cylinder head going at about 55k miles , check for oil in the coolant water or a white paste under the oil filler cap- if its a 3.1 then dont worry about it. Also see when the timing belts were last changed - its every 50K at the most and there are two on the troopers - would cost about £200 average to do but if you dont and it snaps its a new engine! good luck!

I had one and it was super. Had done 100;000 when I bought it.

Was ok for a couple of months then it cost me 1000 quid, two months later it cost me another 600 quid so I got rid quick before it cost me any more.

Brilliant towing machine though!

we had a v reg 3.0 litre, great till 60000k then engine went !!!! now have a 53 plate citation only done 40000k touch wood ok !!!!! but def not economical on fuel

I have a vauxhall monteray ( same as Isuzu Trooper) 3.1 TD Brilliant, reliable, good work horse and I had it for about 7 years. It will spend the rest of it's day with me lol. ps I part exchanged it for a Nissan Micra!!

The 3 litre is very reliable IF you bother to have regular servicing and get all the FREE recall work done at Isuzu. Done over 100,000 in 4 years!
IME Most people just dont bother to maintain their vehicles properly and then slag them off when they breakdown....
