Ok, based on worst horse advert post....

What do you think is a 'healthy average' size to be?

Mine was a just backed 3/4yr old, ad said he was a straight moving genuine youngster that needed bringing on. Had never left yard/been clipped/only been shod once, so wasnt alot to lie about really!!

We were looking for a IDx, and rang one which sounded ideal. The seller said he looked like King William. Which in fairness he would have done, had KW been grey, short coupled and had flat feet! We bought him, too...

Max was everything he was described as and more.
I feel very lucky to have found him

I had been so put off by owners lying for a sale, i nearly didn't buy him. Thought they must be lying too, but "he is exactly what it said on the tin"

The current Appy is absolutely as described, if not better. The old Appy was so different from the advert that I think they must have been selling a different animal, even to the description as "strawberry roan" She was actually a roan leopard spot.

hmmmm.... Darcy was a 'Stunning 16hh 4yo TB Gelding'... he was actually 14.3, had just been gelded and had an infection in his sheath and thus wasnt in the best condition, and certainly not 'stunning'... but I took him anyway and have never regretted it...

Pinky I was asked to sell on, she was too good so I bought her for myeslf, thankfully her owner didn't know what she had so i got her for what I feel was a good price for such a good little mare....

I knew zara, her owner was wierd and it was hard work buying her.

The other two I have bred.

When we got the exracers we just got them as 'exracers' from newmarket. just went to see them in the field, there temperments were exactly as they described. we only went for one and brought two back!

When I sold them on I was 100% honest about them, they were both nice sound horses but very different.

Not bought anything from an advert bar Mustard and he's just as described, though I did find out before I paid for him that his history was a little different to that I was told at viewing.
Hasnt made the smallest bit of difference though- he's even better than I was hoping.

Ellie was sold via word of mouth; we were told she didnt jump fillers or planks, and had a nasty stop....we went on to jump successfully in several championships, and not once has she stopped at anything unless I have put her wrong - planks, fillers or otherwise. She was just a baby, and needed guidance!

Ty was sold to me as a 12 year old schoolmaster - ended up with an 8 year old, blind in one eye, nut nut who didn't like jumping!.....bless him though, he's on loan to someone who's perfect for him - she wants all 4 feet on the ground!

That said, he got my confidence hacking as he really is bombproof.
