Annoyed i was late with her hay, too busy taking pictures. Poor dee is so unloved at the moment. ;)

I think she's looking fab, although personally I wouldn't want any more weight on her at this time of year. Best of luck with the AI this week, how soon will you find out whether it's worked?

I have never heard of the horse feed bloxs, just out of interest (not nit picking, curiosity :) ) why have you decided to feed them as opposed to a conventional feed?

No she doesnt need anymore weight, finally got her to the weight i want :) its been quite tough getting there :). Dee gets conventional feed also, but this increases her fibre intake with good quality fibre and she plays with them

Those are the feed bloxs she gets :). She hadnt been in the field for a long time before getting to this yard so wanted to prepare her gut before hand (having suffered ulcers previously)

So are the feed bloxs something that you'd feed to a horse that wasn't turned out on a regular basis, as opposed to a horse who was turned out every day? I don't think my horse would need them as he is turned out and doesn't need any more weight on him (he's had a tough-ish winter too :) ), but it's always good to know about different things on the market.

I used them as she wasnt out and i wanted to increase her fibre intake and the quality of the fibre whilst increasing her feed sizes. :) She loves them, she has one a day and throws them about her stable. They also keep her preoccupied if her neighbour is being a bit skittish or if any of the other horses are playing up. They've helped also to settle her as she coming in, has her hay and a blox and then dinner and a snooze :D

Thank you all :) She has settled in wonderfully and stolen everyones hearts :) (including the gelding next door, though im not sure if she feels the same ;) ). Im really pleased with her and very happy at how much condition shes put on recently. The pictures dont show how shiny she is or how sleek her hair is. Although, the only really hair part of her is a patch on her face  and her ears! I think they are itchy as she really rubbed herself against me earlier, almost knocking me off my feet!

She looks really good :) love her bed btw looks cosy Are those blocks similar to the simple systems lucie brick /meadow brick ?

As always she looks gorgeous, no CC from me I'm afraid as I know nothing about that kind of thing. :o
When are you planning to put her in foal?

How do you find those feed blocks DD??

How long do they last? Which brand is it you buy?

Been looking at them for K and Big S, lots of different brands, I see Halleys does a fatty version that could be good for Wee S in the summer as shes a porker.

Does D attack them or nibble on them??

I think she looks good, wouldnt want anymore weight on her but looking nice and healthy there.

D loves them, i use the alfagold ones as she needs good quality fibre and not just bulk. I feed her one a day and one bag lasts us two weeks :) I use halleys horse feeds, i googled them and bought online, arrived quickly.

D attacks them, shes learnt to pick them up and chuck them on the floor to break up, she walks about her box with it in her mouth tossing it about and has thrown it over her stable door a few times only then to kick the door as she wants them back.... :)
I agree, no more weight, but finally just right :)

I was thinking of the greengold as both of them need weight on and these seem to be the highest calorie one??

Cheers might just buy a bag been to their website and two bag plus delivery is 26, bag for each of us :)

Much obliged, Hope everything goes good for the vets. :)
