As requested on a number (exceeding 1) of occasions, pictures of the Spooky Pony! This lot is courtesy of The Normally Grey Pony's mum, and was taken on Sunday. I've tried to be a little selective!
The pony shows off his splendid walk, that the physio at our Endurance training weekend said he shouldn't be physically capable of:
A bit on the tense side trotting around:
Soon opening out into something resembling a proper trot. I'm really happy with him in this pic; and it really shows why he finds it so difficult to work into a contact.
Not sure what's going on here, but his mane and tail are so pretty:
A bit of an argument:
Looking almost like a normal pony:
Proof that we did, too canter in the big field, as he tries to pi$$ off with me:
All the ponies in the 14.2 and under class together:
The Steward says hello to the Spooky Pony:
The Normally Grey Pony's rider looks like she's about to eat her rosette! And the Spooky Pony appears to be investigating his for edible properties.
Lining up in the Ridden Championship class: a grey horse and a bay horse, a grey pony and a bay pony. The bay horse---a stunning Welsh-D-ish creature---won.
The Spooky Pony beside his friend, the Normally Grey Pony. I stuck pretty close to him, for two reasons: colour contrast, and comfort!
The two ponies again; this trot's actually looking pretty decent for once! Note the identical trot phase!
Posing in the Big Field of Doom after the class:
Wow, we're managing to look like a proper Dressage Pony for a split second (after much clucking in failed efforts to get the ears forward):
My favourite picture of all: I'm smiling and not contorted in any odd fashion, and the pony looks happy, forward, and engaged. And he's definitely a tweed sort of pony.
Enjoy!
