Ok now I realy think I may have lost the plot.

I'm getting another forest bred forester. This one is called Tiptoe Merryn, Hes 14.1hh, chestnut and he's lovely. He had an attack of Lami in June. :( Luckly it was a very mild attack but his owner is no longer able to keep him and wanted to find him a new home with someone who knows how to deal with lami. After all those years owning Lucy I fit the bill and she has desided I will give him the perfect home. :) We are going to pick him up at the weekend.

Ohhhhhh Sprout whats yours like? Also I never noticed you live in the forest. We could be close by. I'm near ringwood.

I'll have some pics after we pick him up at the weekend. I'll post them next week I promise. He's so lovely. I just hope he gets on with Horrid. :o

LOL thanks everyone. I will post pics as soon as I can I promise. Hopefully he will stay lovely, the plan is my OHs kids can ride him and not have to risk life and limb riding the horrid one. (then I can also stop worrying about horrid being stolen and dressed up in pink   ;) :p :D )

Oh god, I know exactly how you feel - I think I am completely mad for getting my 4yo daughter a 2 year old welshie!

My horsey friends even think I am mad to get one at this time of year but he was only £500 and has a pedigree as long as my arm, along with multi-v posh ribbon winning relatives.

Still feeling very nervous though about the whole thing and I also still need get him from Wales to Bucks......

OK - getting that off my chest has not made me feel any better...

Good luck. I don't think your mad sounds like a bargin to me and I do love a welshie :D (shhhhh don't tell the boys who are both foresters ;) :p ). Luckly Merryn is only 1hr away so not to far to get him back. This time of year was good to get mine as I have all winter to loose his excess weight then hopefuly keep it off and avoid him getting Lami again next year or infact ever again. :D

YAY!!

how exciting :)

And now you will have a proper sized nf instead of a runt one and wont have to worry when u go showing ;) ;) only joking :)

Cant wait for the piccies

:eek::eek::eek::eek: How could you be so mean to the horrid one ;) :p :D :D.
Merryn would do well in the show ring at the mo as he is in "Show condition" ;) (But he's not gonna stay that way for long. :p :D ) He's very well bred so should do well in the ring but it's a pain having two the same They will need to do all the same classes at shows :( and I can only show one at a time. :)
How are you getting on with yours? Have you found him a nice home yet?

nope - still waiting on that family to find a yard so have given up on them really! Shame as they loved him but ahh well!! I am in email contact with a few people but i think i need to fork out and readvertise!! He is good though thanks, I fell off head first the other day though! We were cantering across a field and a b*****d pheasant flew up and hit him in the face!!!! needless to say we parted ways (with about 20 foot in between us) and he was off at a pace i never imagined he could move at!!!!haha!! bless him :)

AAwwwwww i would never be mean to herbalicious he did sooooooo well at the show :) plus he is my ponies minime!lol!

Thats a shame they sounded perfect :(

I'm so glad we don't meet many phesants on the forest. I kept Lucy on a shooting estate once and they where everywhere. They always wait till the last minuet to fly and then they make that awful noise to. :( I'm shore they do it on purpose.  Hope your ok after your little spill and bless poor bailey he prob didn't realise you had come off. :p :)

Thats great news, how exciting! Look forward to seeing the photo's - I'm a sucker for a chestnut, its my favourite colour :) (Apologies to my 2 horses who are grey and bay! :D )

Great news!! I lost my plot when I bought Penny. I thought she was only a PB NF, but have since found out her dad is such a good well bred boy, he is back out on the forest. Her mum is also well bred and has her pedigree going back generations... I think I got a bargain!
Anyway, can't wait to see your new chap. All the very best.

Thanks guys.

0ldmare chestnuts are the best (Lucy was chestnut). Just don't tell horrid I said that ok ;) :p :D :D

Ruthnmeg NF are a lovely breed. Merryns mum is still on the forest. I may go and see if I can find her one day :) I'm not shore about his dad I'll have to check his passport when I get it. He is the ultamate bargin though as he is free. His owner is so lovely and due to her cercamstances needed to find him a new home and she wanted him to go to the best home poss. I'm thrilled that she chose me. There is no way I could buy another pony. He is just perfect for what we want so hopefully he will stay forever. :D

Thankyou Tennessee and Ommadawn. I currently have a mixture of nerves and excitment. Mainly nerves because he is ment to be for the children and I realy realy hope he stays nice enough for them to ride. He was so good when we went to try himand he had been stood in his box for 4hrs without food bless him.
