Just thinking why are there so many rip-off 3.5t models on the market. It seems that a standard van can be converted with much less structural work to a suitable horsebox.
 
That would suit my shetie down to a tee.

We looked into converting a van for the shettie, and to do so safely would make a 3k van an 8k project. I could buy a 4x4 AND a trailer for that! And you can't fit the dog and kids in the van!
 
I like both of those though in the first one the horse would end up standing on the wheel arch wouldn't he?
 
That looks better, but as I said in your last thread, I am not taken with the van conversions anyway. There just doesnt seem to be enough room for a couple of horses in the back.....a bit like Mary Poppins' carpet bag!!

I guess if I only had smaller ponies I would consider this one, but I would still be concerned what would happen in an accident.......
 
still dont like them still look bit DIY, possibly ok for shetlands but wouldnt put anything else in them...the coachbuilt ones are lovely.
