I have been horseless for a while due to having a baby and had no intention of yet buying another. I had started to ride a lovely cob when I was also asked to school a 16.2hh, 11yr old, WB mare from the same yard. Now if you look at any of my previous posts where we discuss breeds I have always been firmly in the camp of WB's are evil! Well I now hang my head in shame at having such an opinion as I think I fell in love, and this week the lovely mare becomes mine! She is a wonderful, bombproof hack but has done little school work for the past 5 years. So I am planning on schooling her for 3mths as a project then deciding my next move if she is the horse for me I'll keep her if not I'll sell her. She currently struggles to have any sort of outline or have enough balance to canter a circle but in just the 4 times I have already school her she has come on leaps and bounds and every now and then you get a few strides of something magnificant! :D I think she has been schooled to that level before so it is not a task of teaching new but instead reminding her of what she used to do. We are going back to basics and it is great to be having lessons again!

WB's are fantastic!!!!! I love mine to death - he's so clever and pretty and strong and shiny....

Welcome to the dark side, it's fun over here...:)
