ok, so ideas for new bit?

further to my post in stableyard about my horse always getting a sore mouth from his loose ring straightbar happy mouth. has anyone got any reccomendations for a similar bit, which (hopefully) wont cause sores?and the best place to get one from?thankyou , much appreciated

I would try a nathe if your horse goes nicely in the happymouth, they are lovely bits, with a similar feel if you get the straight bar version....

As I replied in your last post, a Nathe is similar but doesn't have the bumps along the bit and is a bit narrower than the Happy Mouth. I got mine from Coswold Sport. My horse loves it.

can you try a straightbar in a different material like metal? why not try a frnch link or something mild if you are having trouble finding the straightbar you want in another material

Is it the loose rings that are causing the problem?
Would it be worth trying a different ring style? Dee ring? Fulmer?
