Ok, so what's the WORST dressage score you've ever received?!

about 48%. my over-excitable ponio enters up the centre line in sideways canter, head tucked into his chest. proceeds at sideways canter round the arena, when it comes to the actual canter part, head comes up and he takes off. walking involves jogging. free walk on a long rein starts well, and ends up jogging, up the centre line and halt is canter sideways and halt for a split second. on they way we step half out of the white boards, and stamp on the letters, how dare they obstruct his arena :O :O:O:O
and i still love him

good job he's a jumper :P

47.5% - boosted by coming second in our first ever dressage test (walk and trot), I decided to do the prelim that followed it, despite having never looked at the test and knowing full well that pony does not do left canter (and is a lazy beast). I got lost, did a rather fast 20m left circle on the wrong leg, and practically wet myself laughing all the way through. Was actually quite pleased with my score...

Probably due to the fact my team coach gave me the wrong test to learn, so had to relearn new test v last minute (well that's my excuse

) so spent the whole time trying to work out vaguely which direction I should be going in at an approximately correct pace, resulting in horse making his own decisions and therefor spending pretty much all the test spooking at boards/letters/judges car/other horses and looking like this:

Oh and the fact I'm just really bad at dressage

Can't remember the score but

When I clicked during my entire test and the wretched judge deducted 2 marks for every movement!! He even got out of his car afterwards to ask if I realised about the verbal communication. The funniest thing is that my mum thought he was telling me what a brilliant test I'd ridden. I think I worked out that I would have come 4th instead of 4th from last!

Needless to say my instructor taped my lips together after that.

Daughter once got a "-2" for one movement. Pony was late to canter but did show some strides. Think the judge mean't to say take 2 marks off but it was scored as -2. Never seen this before or since but it certainly demoralised a 13 yr old in one of her first tests.

Errmmm 80. In a NOVICE ODE!!!!! The class was only 1ft6 and the dressage was marked very harshly considering I was in the 13 and under section!!

We ended up 5th as they had decided to put loads of fillers in the showjumping and 2 SKINNIES XC!!!!

46%, for a test which wasn't actually bad. We had all the right bits in the right places and just needed a little more finesse. Medium trot was a bit lacking but no other major problems. He got 4's for his paces (N34 so 3 paces marks) when he almost always gets a 7!!
Ironically at the same venue but with a different judge he did a horrible test just a month earlier (think total donkey stylee) and got his highest ever (72% - totally undeserved).

Needless to say I can't be bothered to go back to that venue! Neither were listed judges.

38%ish. On my mum's 13h3 who I nicked to sj/xc when i was on ponies. He didn't 'do' dressage no matter how much i tried but we endured one test a year for the PC ODE!

Had him going reasonably well for him (might have got just over 50% by doing trot when meant to trot, walk when meant to walk etc
wink.gif
) but we were last to go in class and all the lorries/trailers were parked in another field down track and we were abandoned and he went nuts just before we were due to start. Nice judge got out of car and raced off after last competitor to make her wait in arena field till the end of my test. Damage was done though and we went sideways or cantered through the majority of the test, the judge was still somewhat generous me thinks

36% oops is all I had to say

oh and once I gave up saluted and left the arena BAD BEACON!! he had told me often enough he HATED DRESSAGE so guess it was my own fault really. One time he took off full pelt back towards the yard.

Best mark on him was 59%

Sadly, I thought he was actually going quite well for him

. Judge got out of car to offer advice. She thought I was joking when I said she should see him on a bad day

We didn't bother venturing out again, there's only so much humiliation a girl can take

can't believe i'm going to admit this but...33%!!!!! on my ex racer- it was his first ever show, he spent the working in shouting, rearing, bucking and trying to pile me into the wall. did my test in a similar fashion- lurching around, sticking his ears up my nose etc etc!
