OK... so what's the worst thing your darling dog has destroyed?!

The family JRT ate my fathers false teeth. In fairness, they weren't too mangled because (look away now children!), after a jolly good rinse under the tap, my father put them back in. Bleurggh!
 
LOL! My old mastiff nicked my dads false teeth. :D

Unfortunately they were too badly mangled for him to use again as I am sure he would have done the same!:D
 
A t-shirt and a pair of socks - I only realised when they reappeared out the other end!:eek::o

Oh, and he chewed my posh eye shadow:mad: Now it has teeth marks in the case:mad:

Nothing for ages though **frantically touches wood**:D
 
There is already a long post from me on page 3 but I must now add to my list a NEW Estribos collar! I bought two Estribos collars (the Argentian Polo belt company) for two of my Springers at Badminton; at Burghley, I bought a collar (£23) for Bryn, our adorably dopey Munsterlander. That was on Saturday......on Monday, we went gun dog training, and I carefully removed his collar when he did some retrieves from the pond, so it didn't get wet. What a waste of time! The following day, I lifted the tail gate of my car to find him minus his collar and with just the buckle end and about six inches of collar remaining! He had somehow removed the collar and EATEN three quarters of it - he had strange turqouise coloured deposts the next day.......
 
The only thing my dog Blue has eaten (apart from the rubbish bin, but thats a given) is my mobile phone when he was a puppy.

HOWEVER...

We deserve a good one after having two very naughty dogs, a Hungarian Puli and a Lab who ate an entire three peice suite while we were out!!!!

Very much enjoying all these posts though, the things these dogs get up to is hilarious - and the patience you owners have!

Naughty Zak! He nicked the OH's wallet on Thursday-God knows how he reached the table, although I did find Bear on the table yesterday, having climbed on a chair then leapt up!:eek:

The OH didn't realise what Zak had and looked at him in the garden merrily chewing something, thought it looked a bit odd and there was Zak having chewed up £65 destined for the plumber and all the credit cards etc.

Luckily, there were enough bits left for the OH to sellotape together and take to the bank who were very understanding and gave him new notes!
 
hmm - absolute worst has to be a pair of lovely Jimmy Choo evening sandals I had only worn once - and there was no excuse whatsoever. I had taken them downstairs to take with me as I was going to a very smart ball. I was upstairs getting ready and when I came down my wretched staffie bitch had eaten the heel of one of them. This was particularly galling as I was actually in the house at the time and she had never done anything like that before plus which she made me late trying to find very last minute replacements.

When I moved, she was very unsettled and would break into my bedroom to get at my shoes if I was out, but would only pick nearly new ones, not say, my grotty driving shoes by the door. Ended up locking her in 2 of the downstairs rooms in the end and she stopped doing it.

My hubby has called it "dog flop" ie performance anxiety caused by being watched and jumped on by a 9st wolf!

Our bedroom door doesn't shut properly so we can't throw him out.

Hmph!
 
My Wierd Fish fleece just for attention - I was washing up at the time and didn't notice him pinch it and leg it to the garden

I love this thread! I've got a stinking cold at the moment and this thread's giving me a right laugh and making me feel much better!

So my two ...

Isa, when she was a pup, managed to shut herself in the bathroom for about two hours and destroyed the floor, door and walls trying to get out, but can't really blame her for that one.

She also chewed up a mobile phone I'd only had for a couple of days - I don't think she liked the new ringtone!

She's also killed a couple of chickens.

Her best one has to be the entire tub of saddle soap she ate whilst we were staying at a friend's house, then threw it up all down her stairs. Nice.

Shadow chewed the back seatbelts in my car.

When he was a pup he had a tendency to chew electrical cables - preferably when the appliance was on. I'm sure that's way he's so stupid, he must have fried a few brain cells.
 
Mine had a chicken yesterday - ate all its insides. Poor thing was still alive :( I cried when I broke its neck. And then beat the dog with its carcass... Well didn't actually beat the dog but shook it in its face and shouted a lot. He was suitably sheepish for the rest of the day.

All my own fault for leaving them in easy accessible places/leaving doors open, but it doesn't stop the sinking feeling when you realise what's happened. There were more, but ... yeah, they're all quite terrible at the time. Thankfully she grew out of that phase, but still, argh!
