Ok, well its not kissing spines...

Also, rereading your post Arth didn't have any nerve blocks as he was completely sound on the gravel to trot up/lunge and it was obvious it was in his back. Sedated for X-Rays (not heavily, he's a lightweigth

) and had his whole back X-Rayed pretty much, then ultrasounded to check the ligament throughout the back. They ummed and ahhed as to whether they would put some more sedation in to do the injections, but it would mean us having to hang around longer before travelling home, if they didn't he was good to go pretty much straight away... So they injected his back on sedation that was wearing off and a twitch

No nerve blocks at all

Pessoa's are wonderful things, also long reining. My horse damaged one hind suspensary which was bascially due to him being weak on one side of his back putting more pressure on other hind. Basically through pessoa work and long reining he has come back stronger than ever, jumping better than ever. So you will see the difference and well done for not trying to pretend it isn't there.

I know exactly how you're feeling as my new mare has the same problem and was injected last week. I drew the unlucky straw though and had bucking as the symptom not unlevelness! Let's hope they both come back better than ever.
